Finally Australia has seen the episode of Dr Who in which David Tennant bows out. (*Sob!*) And a corker of an episode it was, too. Lovely to see some of the recent companions also, and above all my favourite (not-so-recent) companion, Sarah Jane Smith. I am cross that we don't get her 'Further Adventures' in Oz.

I know, I know, Christopher Eccleston was a superb Doctor, and I still remember both Tom Baker and John Pertwee very fondly — but oh, David Tennant made the role his own, abetted by some terrific scripts and supporting casts.

Luckily our glimpse of the next incarnation suggests he's not too far from Tennant's portrayal in looks or persona.

Now we wait, and wait, and wait.

I am totally remiss not to have given a huge shout out before about the excellent drawings and fascinating discussions at the LJ of [personal profile] i_17bingo

Great stuff, folks. Get along there and look over all the "A Doctor a Day" posts, starting from the beginning. They're all on one page as yet; you can just scroll down with ease. So worth it!
